A domestic conflict in the suburban area of Arifwala’s Qaboola town led to a gruesome murder, when a disagreement between two co-wives over watching a television drama escalated into a brutal killing.
According to the police, when the victim, Samina, turned on the TV to watch a drama at home, the other woman objected. The argument quickly intensified between the two women, leading to fistfight, during which one woman allegedly struck Samina with a stick, killing her on the spot.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Qabula police reached the spot and shifted Samina’s body to a local hospital for post-mortem examination. Police say that the motive for the murder was a domestic dispute and a fight over a trivial matter, which took the life of a human being.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
