Karachi: Rescue teams discovered the bodies of a woman and a baby girl in a garbage dump near Korangi Causeway in Karachi.
The bodies were promptly transported to a hospital for legal procedures by the police and rescue teams. Initial police reports indicate that the victims had been tortured before their deaths.
The identities of the woman and child remain unknown at this time.
This tragic discovery follows a recent incident where two premature infants’ bodies were found in a private hospital’s restroom in Karachi. Hospital staff at the North Nazimabad facility reported finding the premature babies’ bodies in a wastebasket.
According to hospital management, two women had visited the facility for a pregnancy ultrasound. After receiving lab results confirming twins, both women entered the restroom and spent several hours there before leaving abruptly, as reported by hospital officials.
