Telugu actor Allu Arjun expressed his sorrow on Friday night over the tragic death of M. Revathi, a stay-at-home mother, who was crushed in a stampede at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule on Wednesday around 9:30 pm.
According to a report by Indian media, Allu Arjun shared a video on X (formerly Twitter), expressing his condolences and wrote, “Deeply heartbroken by the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre. My heartfelt condolences go out to the grieving family during this unimaginably difficult time.”
The actor further stated, “I want to assure them they are not alone in this pain and will meet the family personally. While respecting their need for space to grieve, I stand committed to extend every possible assistance to help them navigate through this challenging journey.”
In the video, Allu Arjun reassured the family, saying he “will be there for them,” and announced a donation of 25 lakh to the family, along with taking responsibility for their medical expenses. He also urged cine-goers to exercise caution while visiting theatres.

M. Revathi, 39, had attended the screening with her husband Bhaskar and their son Sreethej, 9, who is critically injured and undergoing treatment at KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad. She is survived by her husband and a seven-year-old daughter. On Thursday, police filed a case against Sandhya Theatre management, Allu Arjun, and his security team.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Akshansh Yadav said, “A case has been filed under BNS section 105 and 118(1) r/w 3(5) based on the complaint from the deceased’s family. The investigation is ongoing, and strict action will be taken against those responsible for the chaos inside the theatre that led to the death and injuries.”
