LAHORE: A woman on Monday was allegedly raped by a staff member in the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC).
The staff worker “raped” the woman, according to the authorities, by promising her father, who is hospitalized to the PIC, early heart surgery.
The “rapist” was taken into custody and a case was filed against him following the woman’s allegation. Subsequent to the “rape-victim’s” medical examination, the police have initiated additional inquiries into the case.
Two nine-year-old girls were raped in two different occurrences at the District Headquarters Hospital in Layyah and Kot Addu earlier in March.
At the DHQ Hospital in Layyah, a mentally challenged young girl was sexually assaulted.
The nine-year-old child, who was visiting the hospital with her family, belongs to Chak 515-TDA of Kot Addu.
A CCTV footage showed the victim child being taken away by the suspect, identified as a 15-year-old resident of the General Bus Stand.
