RAWALPINDI: A woman was allegedly gang-raped after being lured to a fake job interview near the Rawal area of Rawalpindi.
According to details, accused Waqar Azeem lured the victim woman, Misbah Batool, to the hotel near Bahria Town Gate No. 7 by promising her a job. “Later, Waqar along with his two friends gang-raped me on gunpoint,” she claimed.
Stating that she had been subjected to brutality, she demanded the authorities register to launch an investigation and punish the culprits. A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against three accused, however, the main accused was arrested.
The victim further informed that the remaining suspects were threatening her to suppress the matter. Meanwhile, the police were also not taking any action against the remaining accused.
Earlier, a woman in Dera Ismail Khan’s (DI Khan) Tank city was allegedly gang-raped by five men for 10 days after luring her with promises of additional wages in exchange for labour.
