The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department has announced an extension of winter holidays in schools in plain areas.
According to the notification issued by the Education Department, the winter vacations in schools in the plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been extended until January 6.
Previously, winter holidays were announced for schools in plain areas from December 23 to 31 and for schools in mountainous areas from December 23 to February 29, 2025.
In Sindh, the 10-day winter holidays are ending today. However, the government is expected to announce a 10-day extension, as the weather department has forecast severe cold in the province, including Karachi, in the first half of January. However, the final decision will be taken by the provincial education minister, and so far, the government has not hinted at any decision in this regard.
