LAHORE: Federal Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed has said that he would make the Pakistan Railways corruption-free institute.
While addressing a media conference today in Lahore, the railway minister hoped that the decisions of the Supreme Court would be in his favor.
Commenting on the prime minister, the railway minister said that he had no demands from Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar as both were very cooperative.
He further said that people were displeased with Prime Minister Imran Khan due to inflation.
Earlier on 1st February, Sheikh Rasheed met German Ambassador to Pakistan Bernhard Schlagheck to discuss the Main Line (ML-1) project.
During the meeting, the German ambassador said that the railways connect people with different cultures and areas in the country.
He said, “I had a very amazing experience of meeting Pakistani people during my journey.”
Sheikh Rasheed said that advancement in the railway was directly linked with the prosperity of the country.
He said that the department currently was facilitating the travel of 70 million passengers in a year. Rasheed thanked the ambassador for travelling via train.
