The Saudi Arabian Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the National Center for Artificial Intelligence have invested $160 million to support projects related to artificial intelligence through collaboration.
Under the Generative Artificial Intelligence Accelerator (GAIA) program, four hackathons have been conducted, involving over 7,000 participants and developers who presented 185 projects.
The first GAIA program was initiated in July 2023 with 15 companies, with a $160 million investment. The program aimed to attract capital investment in 120 companies.

The goal of the GAIA program, supported by the Saudi government, is to assist in the development of artificial intelligence. Saudi Arabia aims to position itself at the forefront of countries contributing to the advancement of artificial intelligence.
