Pakistani actress Hira Mani is facing backlash for her mimicry of Kareena Kapoor’s character ‘Geet’ in the film Jab We Met (2007), in which Kareena starred alongside Shahid Kapoor.
According to a report, Hira Mani, a celebrated actress in the Pakistani entertainment industry, has been a part of many hit projects such as Do Bol, Mere Paas Tum Ho, and Sun Yara. She has also impressed audiences with her performances in Sunn Mere Dil and Jan Se Pyara Juni.
On multiple occasions, Hira Mani has expressed admiration for Bollywood’s ‘Bebo,’ Kareena Kapoor, telling fans that her own personality is very similar to Kareena’s character ‘Geet’ in Jab We Met. Kareena’s performance in the film was widely praised in both India and Pakistan.

In a recent interview with Indian journalist Faridoon Shahryar, Hira Mani, responding to a statement suggesting that she could have been in Jab We Met, said, “Yes, my Khala contacted me immediately after watching the film and said, ‘You know what? This movie is based on your personality!'”

“I remember watching the film with my family. I realized how much I resemble the character. Imtiaz Ali, you should have met me before writing it,” she added. Her statement has sparked criticism on social media, as many users believe her claim does not align with reality.
