Famous podcaster Hafiz Ahmed landed in hot water after he made a funny podcast with Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s dummy. Soon after he uploaded the video on his channel a severe reaction came out from JUI and Hafiz Ahmed apologized by deleting the podcast.
Yesterday, well-known podcaster Hafiz Ahmed had a segment on his podcast where he had a humorous conversation with a dummy of JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the video of which was uploaded on his channel and received a strong response from JUI workers.
Apart from the JUI activists, many people expressed displeasure on this podcast of Hafiz Ahmed and took the stand that it insulted and humiliated a religious scholar in the name of humor.
After a backlash from various quarters, podcaster Hafiz Ahmed shared an apology post on Facebook and said that he deleted the podcast after realizing that it has hurt many people.
In his apology, he wrote that the podcast with dummy Maulana Fazlur Rehman has been deleted, This podcast was done on the advice of some friends and there was no intention to humiliate anyone. he and his entire team apologize to the friends who were hurt.
Earlier, JUI workers on social media had expressed a strong reaction to this podcast saying that a religious scholar was humiliated and insulted in this podcast and this is not acceptable in any way.
The anger of the JUI activists over Hafiz Ahmed’s removal of the podcast and apology has cooled somewhat and they have gratefully accepted Hafiz Ahmed’s apology, but their anger over one aspect of the podcast still remains.
JUI workers have forgiven the podcaster for apologizing, but it seems they still have anger over the person who played the role of Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s dummy in the podcast.
