Oscars 2024 witnessed many mind-blowing moments and one of them was a naked John Cena on a stage.
Well, it was a part of the skit. During the stage, Academy Award host Jimmy Kimmel joked that Cena was backing out of their arrangement to have him appear naked to announce the winner of one category.
“It’s an elegant event,” said Cena to Kimmel during the stage. “Honestly you should feel shame at suggesting such a tasteless idea… the male body is not a joke,” he added.
Was it necessary for Cena to go naked for a skit only or was the whole skit inspired by an event?
Well, the bizarre act was apparently to celebrate the 50th anniversary of when a man, photographer, and gallery owner Robert Opel, streaked on stage, flashing the peace sign.
It happened during the 46th Oscars back in 1974 while David Niven was hosting the stage.
