British YouTube personality Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos, known as Yung Filly, has been arrested in Australia and charged with multiple serious offenses related to rape allegations.
The 29-year-old was detained in Brisbane on Tuesday and subsequently extradited to Perth, located over 4,000 km away, where he appeared in court the following day.
Barrientos faces four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault causing bodily harm, and one count of impeding a person’s normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to their neck.
Yung Filly, who gained popularity through collaborations with fellow YouTubers Chunkz and Beta Squad, had been on tour in Australia, performing in various cities including Perth and the Gold Coast.
He initially rose to fame in 2013 and later achieved mainstream success with his BBC show “Hot Property.”. According to Deadline, he has 3.2M followers on both TikTok and Instagram.
