Shahzain Marri , the main suspect in the assault on two citizens in Karachi’s Boat Basin area on February 19, is the son of an influential feudal lord from Balochistan.
Marri had been residing in Karachi’s DHA and had been the talk of the town after his video torturing two citizens went viral on social media.
In the viral video, it can that the armed men first reversed their vehicle and hit another vehicle and then took out their weapons and attacked the citizens riding in the other vehicle.
Shahzain fled to Balochistan to evade arrest as the police registered case against him and his guards.
According to the plaintiff, six to seven armed men were involved in the attack, who appeared to be drunk. The incident occurred on February 19 within the limits of Boat Basin police station.
Shahzain Bugti is said to be son of an influential of Balochistan and his arrest in the case is a real challenge for the Sindh government.
In April 2023, police raided the residence of a political personality over his alleged involvement in a shooting at a restaurant in Karachi’s Sea View area. He was allegedly found involved in a shooting at a restaurant, where the manager was wounded in the incident.
