ISLAMABAD: The federal capital police first ridiculed the PTI’s Member of National Assembly Saleh Muhammad Khan Swati by releasing his photo with a plaque, inscribed with the detainee’s details, around his neck, and then posting the pictures on social media.
Hours later, the Islamabad Police suspended two personnel for releasing photo of PTI’s Member of National Assembly Saleh Muhammad Khan Swati, and ordered SSP Operations to conduct an inquiry into the matter.

During this much time, social media had all erupted in anger and drew ire of majority of the masses as well as some circles from the ruling coalition government over the conduct of Islamabad Police for, what some users called, attempt to ignite the fire of hatred in the country.

In the midst of all these developments, people tried to find out as to who actually was Saleh Muhammad Khan Swati and why he was treated in such a manner, during which they also found videos featuring a dubious character, ordering Islamabad Police to arrest Saleh Muhammad.

Saleh Muhammad Khan hails from Mansehra, and was booked on charges of attempted murder, violation of Section 144, and abutment during the course of protest outside the building of Election Commission of Pakistan. The workers and supporters of PTI as well as their leaders were protesting against the ECP verdict of disqualifying Imran Khan in Toshakhana reference.
In an FIR registered at the Secretariat police station, SHO Ashfaq Ahmed alleged that MNA Saleh along with his gunmen was shouting slogans against the verdict of the ECP, and also tried to disrupt the law-and-order situation. Saleh was arrested after PMLN leader Mohsin Shawnawz alleged that his gunmen opened fire to injure him fatally.
