Kangana Ranaut was allegedly slapped yesterday, drawing huge attention to the matter of why the woman Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable named Kulwinder Kaur hit the actress.
Let’s have a look at wat actually happened and who is the CISF officer.
What happened?
Kangana Ranaut was passing through the checking post at the Chandigarh airport. That’s when the constable allegedly slapped the newly elected BJP MP.
Who is Kulwinder Kaur?
Kaur is the CISF constable who belongs to a family of farmers. She joined the CISF in 2009 and has been with the aviation security group of the force at the Chandigarh airport since 2021.
She has had no vigilance inquiry or punishment against her in the force till now. She along with her husband is posted at the same airport.
Why did she slap the actress?
As per Kaur, she was triggered by a remark the actor-cum-politician made during the farmers’ protests in 2020.
Kaur was seen saying, ‘My mother was there’, referring to Kangana Ranaut’s statement saying women in the farmers’ protest were paid ₹100 each to sit on Delhi borders. ‘Kangana said the women were sitting in the farmers’ protests for ₹100. Will she go and sit there? My mother was sitting there and protesting when she made that remark),” Kaur said.
What happened to the officer?
The woman constable has been suspended. She is facing a police case aswell.
