A young man Ibtisaam foiled assassinated attack on PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday.
As per details, an armed man opened fire on PTI long march container in Waziristan at time when Imran Khan and other PTI leaders were on the container. In the attack seven people including Imran Khan was injured and later one man succumbed to his injuries.
According to footages of the incident as soon as the man opened straight firing on PTI leaders, Ibtisaam promptly hold his armed and pushed it to the other side due to which the assassinated attacked failed.
Talking to media after the incident, Ibtisaam said that when the attacker was about to start firing, he held his arm and push it to other side. He said that he had seen the attacker when he was loading the pistol. After he opened fire, Ibtisaam not only foiled his assassination attack but also garbed him and did not let him to flee.
The attacker, according to him, fired one shot aiming at the former PM but then he immediately grabbed his hand and pushed it down.
In the foiling attempt, he said that the suspect having an automatic weapon opened fire and a bullet hit another man but amid the skirmish, he had dropped the weapon and tried to run away. However, he later chased and held the suspect with the help of other participants of the march.
According to Ibtisaam, the distance between Imran Khan and the attacker was about 10 feet only . After the incident the police arrested the attacker and took him to unknown place for investigation.
