An indecent fake video of Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari was uploaded to a social media platform about two days ago and has since gone viral. The victim has approached the Lahore High Court (LHC) to address the cybercrime.
Speaking to the media outside the Lahore High Court, Uzma Bukhari stated that workers and social media activists of PTI have sparked a storm of indecency online and are running a negative propaganda campaign against other parties.
She said on the one hand, the women involved in the vandalism and terrorism on May 9 are being hailed as the daughters of the nation. On the other hand, the edited and fake videos PML-N women, including Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, are being uploaded to malign their character.
Uzma Bukhari criticized the fact that those involved in the character assassination of respectable female politicians are being given various forms of support.
According to a private TV channel, during the hearing of her petition at the LHC, Bukhari named PTI workers Falik Javid and others as being involved in the dissemination of the fake video. The court instructed the petitioner to approach the FIA to place the accused names on the exit control list.
