A barbaric act has taken place in the capital of India where a Muslim man named Aftab Amin Poonawalla killed his girlfriend before chopping her into pieces.
He was in love with his now deceased girlfriend and despite the fact he murdered her brutally. The concern remains why? Why did he kill her? Did he get arrested?
Case
Aftab Amin Poonawalla had been in a live-in relationship with the victim called Shraddha who was 26-year-old. Both first met at the call centre in Mumbai and grew closer. The two who were in a relationship decided to move to Delhi, despite opposition from Shraddha’s family, and rent a flat in the city’s Chhatarpur area.
FIR
The victim’s father, Vikas Madan, had lodged an FIR for the kidnapping of his daughter at the Mehrauli police station in Delhi on November 8.
According to her father, he had not heard from his daughter since May 2022. His daughter Shraddha worked at a call centre in Mumbai, where she met Poonawalla.
Why did Aftab kill Shraddha?
She Shraddha had been pressuring him to get married. They would frequently quarrel about it.
Aftab killed Sharddha following an argument on May 18. He then dismembered her body with a sharp weapon and bought a fridge to store the chopped parts.

Arrest
He was arrested after 5 months of murdering his victim. Poonawalla revealed that Shraddha had been pressuring him to get married. They would frequently quarrel about it and one day during the fight he stabbed her to death.
Outrage
The brutal murder of Shraddha has sparked outrage and anger on social media. The case has become a religious flashpoint in an already polarised Indian region.
