Rawalpindi: Court-martial proceedings against Lt. General (retired) Faiz Hameed are ongoing. During this time, the names of retired military officers taken into military custody and the charges against them have been revealed.
According to details, ISPR (Inter-Services Public Relations) had issued a statement that court-martial proceedings against the former ISI chief, General Faiz Hameed, are underway, and during this time, three more military officers have been taken into custody on various charges.
Private TV channel ARY News, citing sources, claims that among the detained officers are two retired brigadiers and one retired colonel. Brigadier Ghaffar and Brigadier Naeem are among the retired officers who have been taken into custody.
Colonel (Retd.) Asim is also among the detained retired officers. Sources from the private TV channel report that the detained former brigadiers are from Chakwal. All three officers were involved in coordinating between a political party and the General (Retd.) Faiz Hameed.
The report, based on sources, claims that the three retired officers were involved in delivering messages. It is important to note that according to the ISPR statement, the retired officers were taken into custody for actions against military discipline.
ISPR also stated that further investigations are ongoing against some retired military officers and their associates. Investigations are also underway into the involvement in fueling instability in the country for specific political interests and collusion.
