Just in time for the spooky season, everyone’s favorite horror anthology series is returning for its twelfth season. The critically acclaimed season of “American Horror Story: Delicate” by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuck is the first to be based on a book.
AHS: Delicate was inspired by Danielle Valentine’s novel Delicate Condition, which tells the tale of an actress who suspects a dark power is working against her while enduring a difficult IVF procedure and an Oscar campaign.
The film also marks unscripted reality star Kim Kardashian’s first foray into scripted acting. Though, it won’t be American Horror Story’s first time spotlighting a first-time actress — before Lady Gaga was winning Oscars, she was playing the blood-curdling Countess in AHS: Hotel. Will Delicate inspire Kim to dive deeper into an acting career? Only time will tell.

The first part of American Horror Story: Delicate airs on FX this coming Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 10 p.m. ET. AHS Season 12’s first five episodes will be released each week till October 18. There is no set date for the release of American Horror Story: Delicate, however it is anticipated to happen in the early months of 2024.
