Producer Ravi Shankar has confirmed that the highly anticipated ‘Pushpa 3: The Rampage’ will be released in 2028. The Allu Arjun starrer is going to be one of the most anticipated sequels.
This is the first time that the producer has talked about the Pushpa 3. Earlier, the makers announced the third film in the end credits of the film. However, nothing much about the new film has been given away.
After its release in December last year, ‘Pushpa 2’ emerged as the biggest Indian film of all time at the domestic box office. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in the lead, the film earned Rs 1234.1 crore nett in India, and Rs 1742.1 crore worldwide
Shankar, who was present at a media event on Sunday for his latest film ‘Robinhood’, shared that Arjun is currently busy with two big projects, and he will only begin work on ‘Pushpa 3’ after finishing his film with Atlee and Trivikram Srinivas.
“‘Pushpa 3’ is on! Allu Arjun is presently doing two films with director Atlee Kumar and another one with Trivikram Srinivas. ‘Pushpa 3’ will be after these two films. He’ll take at least two years to complete the two films,” he said.
Shankar added that the second part in the franchise – ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ took longer than expected for several reasons, but it will not be the case with ‘Pushpa 3’. “We won’t delay things like it happened earlier, but hopefully come back quickly in three years, so the film will arrive somewhere in 2028,” the producer concluded.
