British Singer Charli XCX has announced that a new version of her hit album Brat will be released on October 11. The updated album, titled Brat (and it’s completely different but also still brat), promises to offer fans a fresh spin on the original.
The new version will feature 16 tracks, including five remixes of songs from the original release. Among the confirmed collaborations are “360” with Robyn and Yung Lean, “Von Dutch” with Addison Rae, “Girl, So Confusing” with Lorde, and “Guess” featuring Billie Eilish. The track “Talk Talk,” a remix featuring Troye Sivan that was released earlier, will also be part of this new edition.
In addition to the remixes, the album will include a second disc with the original Brat tracklist and three bonus tracks. The new version of the album follows the success of the original Brat, which gained significant acclaim for its hyperpop sound and vibrant aesthetics.
Charli XCX’s announcement comes just a day after the release of the “Talk Talk” remix, which has further excited fans about the new album. The remix features a surprising twist with Dua Lipa’s voice, which Charli XCX confirmed in an Instagram story, showing off voice memos from the “Houdini” singer.
There are also rumors of potential collaborations with Chappell Roan and Taylor Swift, though these details remain unconfirmed. The updated Brat album will also embrace a distinctive autumn theme, adding to the excitement around the release.
Charli XCX is also gearing up for her “Sweat” tour, which will include stops at Madison Square Garden in New York City on September 23 and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on October 15. Alongside her music career, she’s involved in various Hollywood projects, including co-executive producing the score for A24’s Mother Mary and working on original music for Benito Skinner’s Amazon series Overcompensating. She will also appear in upcoming films such as the remake of Faces of Death and Greg Araki’s I Want Your Sex.
