WhatsApp launches in-app custom sticker maker

WhatsApp is introducing an exciting and personalized enhancement to its sticker feature. The Meta-owned messaging app will now allow iOS users to effortlessly create, edit, and share their own stickers directly within the application.

Previously, users had to rely on third-party providers or their phone gallery to discover and share stickers. However, with this new update, a suite of editing tools within the app enables users to craft their own stickers. These tools encompass text, drawing, and the option to overlay other stickers. Once a custom-made sticker is created, it is automatically saved in the user’s sticker tray after being sent.

Already accessible on WhatsApp Web, this feature is set to roll out on iOS 17+ in the coming days. For users on older iOS versions, the ability to edit existing stickers is available, but the creation of new ones will not be supported.
