The drama serial ‘Ishq Murshid’ featuring Bilal Abbas Khan and Dur-e-Fishan Saleem, has become a massive hit in Pakistan.
First, it was its OST that made the drama notable among the audience then it was Fazal Bakhsh’s ‘Bhallay’ that made the Bilal Abbas Khan and Dur-e-Fishan Saleem starrer more lovable and captivating.
The drama has been not only in Pakistan but aswell as in India and Bangladesh. Each episode manages to trend in different countries and people simply love Shibra and Shahmeer aka Fazal Bakhsh.
Talking about the real ‘Fazal Bakhsh’ in the drama, this character actually took the television audience by storm as the real Fazal Bakhsh aka ‘Bhallay’, which is played by senior Sindhi artist Ali Gul Mallah.
Talking to Something Haute, Ali Gul Mallah, who managed to work as an artist in the Sindhi industry, revealed how he got this character Bhallay which has put him on the map of mainstream media.
He revealed that this was not supposed to be a full-fledged character and he was just asked to perform two scenes with Bilal Abbas Khan and revealed that he did not know Bilal as he is not too familiar with Urdu industry artists.
He also talked about his rising fame which he got from his ‘Bhallay’ when he was dining at a Lahori restaurant in Dubai, and the waiters recognized him and later on, the owner clicked pictures with him and told him that he was his personal guest.
He also revealed that Bhallay Fazal Bakhsh was not meant to be a full-fledged character but Farooq Rind made him an integral part of the story because of the character’s popularity.
Meanwhile, if any of you are wondering what ‘Bhallay’ really means then it means ‘Theek hai’ which means simply ‘okay/ok’ in English.
