Pakistan conducted a retaliatory military strikes codenamed “Bunyan um Mursoos” on Saturday in response to Indian airstrikes that targeted several locations in Punjab province.
As part of the operation, Pakistan deployed its domestically developed Fateh-1 missile system, reportedly striking multiple critical Indian defense installations and inflicting considerable damage.
Veteran CNN journalist Nick Robertson reported that Pakistan’s forceful and precisely executed response played a key role in prompting India to agree to a ceasefire.
According to Robertson, the combination of missile strikes, the downing of several Indian fighter jets, and the destruction of numerous surveillance drones marked a significant shift in the operational dynamics, compelling a reassessment of strategic calculations in New Delhi.
