Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shahbaz Gill has been admitted in PIMS Hospital after he fell ill in Adyala jail on Wednesday. Before being taken to the hospital, the jail official handed over him to Islamabad police for 2-day physical remand over the court order.
After he was handed over to the Islamabad police, he was traveled in an ambulance to Islamabad’s PIMS Hospital, where he has been admitted to the cardiac center.
A five-member medical, headed by Professor Shajee Siddiqui, has been constituted to assess Gill’s health
Neurosurgeon Dr. Lal Rehman and Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Rizwan Malik are also on the board. The board will also recommend medical treatment for Gill.
According to sources in jail, Gill has complained of difficulty in breathing and ill health due to alleged torture after which he was shifted to the jail hospital for a checkup before being handed over to Islamabad police.
