Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli who have been blessed with their second child earlier this month have named their newborn son Akaay.
Since they revealed their son’s name, everyone has been wondering what the name actually means. Here’s the meaning behind Akaay’s name.
As per multiple portals, Akaay is a Hindi word, with Turkish origin. In Sanskrit, Akaay means anything or something that is without kaay, aka form or body. It is derived from the word kaaya which means body. Where as their first child whose name is Vamika means ‘Goddess Durga’.
Anushka and Virat got married in 2017 in an intimate ceremony in Italy after dating for some years before finally tying the knot.
They welcomed their first child Vamika in January 2021. Rumours of Anushka Sharma’s second pregnancy have been doing rounds since last year, however, neither the actress nor the cricketer commented on the pregnancy rumours.
The rumours grew even stronger when the actress started limiting her public appearances aswell as her attendance to cricket matches of Virat.
Moreover, Kohli also withdrew from the first two test matches against England and later withdrew from the whole series due to personal reasons.
