A startling occurrence unfolded in Karachi on Sunday as authorities discovered the lifeless bodies of 10 individuals scattered across various areas of the port city.
According to the rescue department, these tragic events occurred over a span of nine hours, prompting immediate investigations into the cause of death.
The deceased, suspected to be drug addicts, were found in separate incidents throughout the city. Initial reports suggest that extreme heat in Karachi or possible poisoning may have led to these fatalities, although conclusive evidence is yet to be determined.
Rescue department officials disclosed that three bodies were recovered from the KMC ground in Lyari’s Lashari neighborhood. Additionally, seven more bodies were found in Golimar, Jahangir Road, Landhi’s Godam Chowrangi, Defence Housing Authority Phase VII, Orangi Town Sector 15, and Khameesu Goth. Each body was swiftly moved to respective police stations for procedural formalities before being transferred to morgues for further examination.
The process of identifying the deceased is currently underway, with autopsies expected to provide clarity on the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
