Major General Kashif Khalil vowed on Saturday to continue the fight against terrorism without any distinction, aligning with the aspirations of the Pakistani people. In his speech, he stated, “We will target and eliminate terrorists. Whether we have support or not, we will proceed.”
He emphasized that the Pakistan Army will not tolerate hooliganism and terrorism in the country.
On Friday, senior military officials highlighted the threat of politically motivated “digital terrorism,” orchestrated by conspirators and their foreign allies, aiming to undermine state institutions. The Armed Forces, together with the nation, are committed to defeating these malicious efforts.
This statement was made during the 265th Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC), led by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir at GHQ in Rawalpindi, as reported by the military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The conference included a comprehensive review of the internal and external security situation, with in-depth discussions on “Azm-e-Istehkam,” a strategy to synchronize national counter-terrorism efforts to dismantle terrorism and illegal activities for lasting stability and economic prosperity. The forum also expressed concern over unwarranted criticism and the deliberate misrepresentation of the military’s vision for vested interests.
