Karachi will experience a drop in the temperature over the next three days. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted a drop in temperature of 1 to 2 degrees Celsius in the port city.
The Met Office forecasted a shift in wind direction, leading to drier conditions beginning today.
Daytime temperatures in Karachi are expected to stay hot and dry, with the temperature potentially reaching between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius.
The PMD stated that the “temperature is 19 degrees Celsius, with partly cloudy skies and humidity at 48%.”
“Winds are coming from the northeast at a speed of 6 kilometers per hour,” it said in its daily forecast.
Most parts of the country experienced partly cloudy weather during last 24 hours, however, isolated areas in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Punjab, Islamabad, and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa faced rain and thunderstorms.
Rainfall was recorded in several areas, with Punjab experiencing Multan receiving 12 mm, Jhelum 3 mm, D.G. Khan 3 mm, Rawalpindi (Chaklala) 2 mm, and Islamabad (Zero Point, Bokra) 1 mm. In Kashmir, Muzaffarabad (AP) recorded 8 mm, Muzaffarabad (City) 6 mm, Rawalakot 4 mm, Garhidupatta 2 mm, and Kotli 1 mm. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa saw Balakot receive 7 mm and Malam Jabba 3 mm. In Gilgit-Baltistan, Astore recorded 2 mm of rainfall.
