The weather will remain cold and dry in most parts of the country while it will be very cold in the hilly areas during next 24 hours, said Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Apart from partly cloudy weather in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and East Punjab, light rain may also occur at some places and light snowfall in the mountains. Smog and fog are also on the cards for the plains of Punjab, Upper Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the night.
Going region by region, Islamabad and its surroundings will see cold and partly cloudy weather on Monday. In Punjab too, the weather will be cold and partly cloudy in most districts of the province. Extremely cold weather and partly cloudy skies are predicted for Murree, Galiyat and its surroundings, with light rain and snowfall at some places as well.
Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Faisalabad, Bahawalnagar and its surroundings, are also likely to get partly cloudy weather with potential light rain or drizzle. Fog and smog is also likely at a few places in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Mangla, Jhelum, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Okara, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan and surrounding areas during the night.
Likewise, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the weather is likely to be cold and dry in most districts of the province, while it is likely to be very cold and partly cloudy in the hilly areas.
Sindh too, will have cold and dry weather in most districts of the province. Balochistan will see cold and dry conditions as well in most districts of the province. The hilly areas of Balochistan will be very cold, predicts PMD.
Light snowfall and rain are likely for Kashmir, while Gilgit-Baltistan will get extremely chilly.
