ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi on Worlds Children’s Day said that the government has taken steps for creating a nation where equal opportunities existed for all, including children.
Dr. Alvi in a message said urged the need for joint efforts to ensure a safe and secure Pakistan for children.
President Alvi in a message said, “This requires the whole of the nation approach. It is imperative that they are nurtured and protected to safeguard our future.”
According to him, a welfare state is being created where healthcare, education, and security of life and property will be ensured and rights of all including children will be protected.

Universal Children’s Day is being celebrated today all over the globe today. Also known as World Children’s Day is held on 20th November each year.
This day is celebrated across the world to increase awareness of the rights, care, and education of children.
The first-ever Children’s day was initiated from 1954. The idea of it was suggested by Mr. V.K. Krishna Menon and it was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly.
