GUJRAT: PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi has claimed that the Wazirabad Police had refused to register First Information Report (FIR) on the complaint of plaintiff, after which local court has to be approached to seek justice.
Talking to media here on Friday, Shah Mahmood said the current FIR into assassination attempt on Imran Khan, registered by Wazirabad police on Supreme Court’s orders, hadn’t included the version of plaintiff which showed the absence of rule of law in the country.

Imran Khan, it may be recalled, had received multiple bullet wounds after being fired at from multiple locations in Wazirabad on Thursday. One PTI worker died on the spot while at least 13 others were injured in the incident. Contrary to shooter’s own claim that he fired 8 bullets, Police insist there was only one shooter involved in the incident, but fail to solve the mystery as to how one person died and 13 injured.
Shah Mahmood on the request of Zubair Niazi, the lower court had sought answer from the police by Monday while expressing hope that they would be served justice.

Referring to Shehbaz Sharif’s defeat at UK court, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said differences between the judicial system of Britain and Pakistan have been proved. He said British court had rejected Shehbaz Sharif’s request for an indefinite adjournment in the Daily Mail defamation case, and instead, ordered to submit his response in the case by December 13.
