A water bottle was thrown at Imran Khan at the district and sessions court in Islamabad on Monday.
Imran Khan was being protected by bulletproof sheilds that covered him from every side including from the top. The bottle was thrown from above as he walked into the court on a lower floor.
Reports said that Imran was not hit by the bottle. The person who threw the bottle was not identified immediatley.
Khan and his legal team have expressed concerns for his security in the past.
Imran was in the district court for a hearing of the Toshakhana case in Judge Humayun Dilawar’s court. Dilawar excused Imran Khan from the proceedings after marking his attendance.
He also appeared in the judge threatening case in Judge Malik Aman’s court. Imran Khan’s lawyer told the judge that the PTI chief had arrived in the complex but could not come up due to security reasons.
At this Judge Aman replied that the excuse could have been considered plausible if the courts were still situated in the congested F-8 complex but not anymore. He then said that Imran Khan should be brought up and the court would wait for him.
