The highly anticipated first trailer for “Freakier Friday” has arrived, bringing back Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan for another body-swapping adventure—this time with an unexpected twist.
The footage opens with Anna (Lohan) and Tess (Curtis) visiting a fortune teller (played by Vanessa Bayer), who cryptically notes that their life paths have already crossed once before. “You’ve walked in each other’s path,” she tells them. “You learned a lesson.
A lesson that may serve you again.” Sensing trouble, the mother-daughter duo quickly makes their exit—but fate has other plans.
This time, the swap doesn’t happen between Anna and Tess. Instead, Anna wakes up in her daughter’s body, while Tess finds herself in the body of her granddaughter.
As they struggle to explain the bizarre phenomenon to the younger generation, they offer one piece of crucial advice: pretend to be each other.
The trailer also teases several nostalgic moments for fans, including the return of Chad Michael Murray as Jake (whose last name is finally set to be revealed), a quick glimpse of Lohan back onstage with her fictional band Pink Slip, and a surprise cameo from Elaine Hendrix, creating a mini “Parent Trap” reunion.
