Notorious Katcha dacoit Shahid Lund recently made a call to the Punjab Interior Ministry, demanding the removal of his name from the wanted list.
This comes just days after the Punjab government announced bounties of up to Rs10 million for the capture of infamous kacha dacoits, following the death of the primary suspect in a rocket attack in the Machka area of Rahim Yar Khan District that claimed the lives of 12 police officers. A government notification issued on Friday detailed that high-value targets would carry a Rs10 million bounty, while lower-tier bandits would face bounties of Rs5 million and Rs2.5 million.
Lund, known for his criminal activities, not only contacted the Interior Ministry but also recorded the call, which was later circulated on social media.
In the recording, Shahid Lund questioned why his name was placed on the wanted criminals list and demanded its removal. In a subsequent video message, he claimed that the actual perpetrators of the police attack were not listed and questioned why he had been given the highest bounty.
