Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief executive Wasim Khan has applied for the post of general manager at the ICC, while sources said that his name is also on the shortlist.
According to details, sources said that Wasim Khan has been shortlisted for the post of manager and he will be interviewed in Dubai next week.
The post of General Manager at the ICC is currently vacant following the promotion of Geoff Allardice to the post of CEO of the ICC. He had spent a total of eight years in his post before being promoted.
It may be recalled that Wasim Khan was at one point in the race to replace Tom Harrison as the Chief Executive of the England Cricket Board (ECB).
He resigned from the PCB last year after New Zealand and England canceled tours due to security concerns. The resignation came two weeks after former Pakistan captain Rameez Raja was elected chairman of the PCB.
