According to a report on Thursday, Shadab Khan was included in the T20 squad as vice-captain but failed throughout the series against New Zealand. He did not showcase his experience in any match, scoring only 58 runs in 4 innings of 5 matches at a modest average of 14.50.
Overall, he conceded 143 runs in 13 overs while taking only one wicket. His bowling average was 143, and his economy rate stood at 11. Similarly, the series proved to be a nightmare for Shaheen Shah Afridi, who managed to take only 2 wickets in 4 matches at an average of 66.50.
Among the batsmen, captain Agha Salman was the top scorer with 167 runs at an average of 41.75. Hasan Nawaz, in his debut series, got out for a duck three times and scored just 1 run in another match. However, he played an unbeaten knock of 105 runs in the third match, making him the second most successful batter with an average of 26.50.
Abdul Samad scored 66 runs at an average of 16.50, while opener Mohammad Haris managed 65 runs in 5 matches at a poor average of 13. Irfan Khan scored 36 runs in 3 matches at an average of 12, whereas Umar Yusuf and Usman Khan played one match each and scored 7 runs apiece.
