ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has denied the reports that the warm weather would kill or stop the coronavirus eventually.
The spokesman of NDMA during a National Security Council (NSC) meeting said that it has not been confirmed yet that the virus would vanish in the rising mercury.
The spokesman further said that the virus could not be finished through sprays and summer heat. Strict monitoring was being ensured to keep travelers in check as a precautionary measure, he added.
Earlier, the NCC meeting was held in Islamabad today over the on-going coronavirus disease so that the pandemic could be curbed through coordinated efforts after taking public decisions.
The NCC meeting was comprised of the federal ministers, chief ministers, NDMA Chairman, Surgeon General of Pakistan, representatives of Inter-Services Intelligence and Inter-Services Public Relations.
