Pakistan has long struggled with sectarian violence, posing a persistent challenge to the state and endangering its citizens. Although large-scale sectarian attacks that killed thousands in the 1980s and 1990s have become less frequent, there is evidence that sectarian animosity is spreading to larger parts of the country.
On Sunday, an Instagram account (propergaanda) posted a video alleging that a TLP mob attacked an Imam Bargah and allegedly burned it.
However, no details were provided about the location or timing of the alleged attack. The post claims that Baharat Ali Agha showed his followers how the TLP mob targeted their place of worship. In the video, the mob can be seen attempting to forcefully enter the Bargah while people inside try to fend off the attack.

It is worth mentioning that in 2023, Pakistan experienced 1,524 violence-related fatalities and 1,463 injuries from 789 terror attacks and counter-terror operations, including nearly 1,000 civilian and security personnel fatalities.
The total number of fatalities, including those of outlaws, reached a six-year high, surpassing the 2018 level and marking the highest since 2017. Moreover, violence has surged for the third consecutive year, with an increase each year starting in 2021.
