The wife of Vietnam’s ambassador to Pakistan, Nguyen Tien Phong, has been reported missing in the Pakistani federal capital of Islamabad on Saturday. According to police sources, the ambassador’s wife was officially reported missing through a phone call to Helpline 15.
The Margala Police Station has initiated a search operation to locate the missing woman. While the circumstances surrounding her disappearance remain unclear, authorities are focusing their efforts in areas under the jurisdiction of the Margala Police Station, including the Margala Hills, a popular destination for tourists and hikers.
The Vietnamese ambassador personally reached out to the authorities, reporting that his wife had gone for a walk at 11:00 am and had not returned home since. Compounding concerns, her mobile phone is currently switched off.
Acknowledging the seriousness of the situation, Islamabad police have intensified their efforts to locate the ambassador’s wife. The Superintendent of Police (SP) is personally overseeing the investigation, emphasizing the importance of finding her and ensuring her safe return to her family.
As the search continues, authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the ambassador’s wife’s whereabouts to come forward and assist in the efforts to reunite her with her loved ones. The Vietnamese embassy and Pakistani authorities are collaborating closely to resolve this alarming situation swiftly.
