A man causally walking his lion on the public street, now that’s a sight we don’t usually see, do we? So, it’s no surprise that when a Pakistani man was spotted strolling with a massive lion, the internet took notice.
An Instagram video shared by digital creator Mian Saqib, showing the man treating the lion as if it were a pet, quickly went viral, garnering over a million views.
Lions are often associated with their wild and fearsome nature, the footage challenges the usual image of lions as dangerous predators, instead showing the big cat in a calm and playful mood with its handler. However, the unusual scene sparked a variety of reactions from viewers.

One remarked, “He shouldn’t be here; he’s the king of the jungle,” expressing concern about the lion’s place in an urban environment.
Others raised safety and ethical concerns. “This seems highly irresponsible. Wild animals are unpredictable, and this could end badly,” one user wrote.
Another worried about the lion’s health, saying, “His toes are floppy, and his belly is sagging. He’s not being properly cared for or even washed.”
One viewer, however, offered a lighter take, calling the encounter “the best screening.”
