Actor Varun Dhawan has addressed allegations that he behaved inappropriately with his female co-stars, including Kiara Advani and Alia Bhatt.
According to a report by Indian Express on Tuesday, videos of him seemingly planting a kiss on Kiara’s cheek during a photoshoot and touching Alia’s belly during a live event had sparked online controversy.

The report states that some viewers accused him of crossing boundaries, but Varun clarified that it was all in good fun. He explained that the kiss was pre-planned for a digital cover shoot and added that his playful interactions are part of his nature.

When asked about the Kiara incident, Varun Dhawan said, “It was planned, and both of us posted the clip.” He also acknowledged that not all his actions were planned, such as the moment when he tried to push Kiara into a pool, which he admitted was spontaneous.
Regarding the belly touch incident with Alia, he stated it was done in a friendly, non-flirtatious manner. Varun and Alia have shared a long professional history, having worked together since Student of the Year, with their most recent film Kalank.
