Unidentified thieves stole gold, forex and other valuables worth Rs100 million from the locker of a private bank located in DHA Karachi, private TV channel 24 News reported on Wednesday.
As per the report, bank locker owner Daniyal has claimed that he has been operating his locker in the bank from July 2010 and from time to time he used to keep diamond sets, gold sets, branded watches and foreign currency in the locker.
“Daniyal said that last time he kept some valuables in the locker on February 6, 2025. He went on to say that when he visited the bank on February 19, he noticed that his locker was removed from its position,” the report stated.
The victim told to the channel that he immediately informed the bank staff about the incident and on his complaint the bank staff started search operation inside the bank during which they found empty pouches of ornaments from the roof of the bank, the report added.
As per the report, police collected all the necessary information from the victim and registered an FIR at Darakshan Police Station. Police also started interrogation from the bank staff.
