KARACHI: Owing to the recent and sudden rise in COVID-19 infections once again, following Alyzeh Gabol, actor Usman Mukhtar and model Farwa Kazmi have also tested positive.
Farwa Kazmi and Usman Mukhtar revealed the news on photo-sharing app, Instagram. However, despite precautions, or lack thereof, the second wave of COVID-19 seems inevitable as new cases emerge everywhere.
Usman Mukhtar, on his Insta story, wrote, “Guys I’ve tested positive for COVID-19. Thankfully I have also tested positive for having awesome people like you to pray for my health.”
The actor and director recently made his Cannes debut with Bench – his directorial short film starring him alongside Rubya Chaudhry.
Meanwhile, Farwa Ali Kazmi recently announced that she had tested positive for the deadly virus, requesting everyone who has come in recent contact with her, to isolate themselves.
The model regretted that she had initially ignored the symptoms mistaking them for the common flu. “All those with cough, body-aches, and headaches but no fever; please get yourself tested. I had delayed it thinking its seasonal cold, but it’s not,” she added.
She had also received backlash for attending the Hussain Rehar solo show and exposing herself to countless other names from the industry. In this regard, Farwa said, “I showed only one symptom a week back at the show which was cough.”
“Stop blaming people for something they’re not aware of. If I had flu-like symptoms I would have gotten myself tested before,” she added.
