Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi recently visited the United States Chamber of Commerce, where he met with a high-level delegation from the US-Pakistan Business Council.
The discussions focused on enhancing investment and cooperation in Pakistan’s mining and information technology sectors. Minister Naqvi also extended an invitation to American investors to explore investment opportunities in these key sectors of Pakistan’s economy.
The Interior Minister took the opportunity to listen to the concerns raised by American companies operating in Pakistan and assured them that their issues would be addressed promptly. He further emphasized that the US-Pakistan Business Council could take advantage of the vast investment potential available in Pakistan.
Naqvi underlined that Pakistan is moving steadily toward economic stability, with all major economic indicators showing positive growth, signaling a strong economic recovery. He invited the US-Pakistan Business Council to invest in Pakistan, highlighting the country’s attractive investment opportunities. He assured the delegation that the process for issuing necessary No Objection Certificates (NOCs) has been streamlined, and special facilities would be offered to investors on a priority basis.
The delegation included Charles Freeman, Senior Vice President of the US Chamber of Commerce, Esperanza Jelalian, Executive Director and President of the US-Pakistan Business Council, Abel Tovar, Executive Director of the Center for Global Regulatory Cooperation, and Manisha Vepa, Manager of the US-Pakistan Business Council. Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, along with the Trade Attaché and other officials, also participated in the discussions.
