ISLAMABAD: US diplomat Alice Wells is scheduled to meet high-level officials in the federal capital today.
The US diplomat who is on four-day official visit in Islamabad will discuss matters concerning to the mutual interest and regional security with Pakistan leadership.
Several issues including bilateral ties, the Afghan peace process, and Iran-US tension will come under discussion.
In the meeting, Pakistan will raise the issue of violation of Human Rights in Kashmir, inhuman curfew and New Delhi’s anti-Pakistan rhetoric. The US diplomat arrived in Islamabad after wrapping up her tours of India and Sri Lanka.
During her last visit to Pakistan in December 2019, Wells was pleased to see Moody’s Investors Service has revised the credit outlook of Pakistan to stable.
Wells in a tweet, posted, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Alice Wells appreciated the improvement in Pakistan’s credit outlook by Moody’s.
