Comedian Samay Raina is in the spotlight once again after social media influencer Uorfi Javed accused contestants on his show India’s Got Latent of making derogatory remarks about her. Uorfi, who was a judge on the show, walked off midway after feeling uncomfortable due to the contestants’ behavior.
In an Instagram story, Uorfi shared her experience, accusing the contestants of “abusing” her for the sake of gaining views. She wrote, “I think I missed the memo, nowadays people think it’s cool to abuse or slut-shame someone for views. I’m sorry, but I’m not okay with anyone abusing or slut-shaming me over things they assume.”
Uorfi explained that one contestant, in particular, got angry when she asked why he was pretending to be handicapped. “The guy who abused me wasn’t joking; he got genuinely angry. He abused me in front of so many people,” she stated, emphasizing how upsetting the incident was.
Despite the uncomfortable situation, Uorfi clarified that she does not blame Samay Raina for the behavior of the contestants. She called him a friend and expressed gratitude for his support. “The entire team came to console me. Samay has been nothing but nice to me,” she added.
This isn’t the first time Samay Raina has been criticized. Influencer and actor Kusha Kapila also took to social media to call out Raina for his “shockingly unkind” roast targeting her and Aashish Solanki on Pretty Good Roast Show. Kusha shared that while she tolerated some harsh jokes, she was upset by the public airing of certain jokes that “dehumanized” her.
