In a deeply disturbing incident from Larkana, a man tortured his six-month-old nephew in an attempt to threaten his brother-in-law amid a domestic dispute.
The inhumane act involved forcing green chilies into the infant’s mouth and physically abusing him, all while recording a video of the ordeal.
The child’s father, Waris, who lives in Bhains Colony, Karachi, said that a quarrel with his wife led her to leave for her parental home in Larkana. He claimed that his wife’s brother began threatening him, demanding a divorce, and sent him a video of the torture inflicted on the innocent child.
“My son was forcefully shaken and green chilies were stuffed into his mouth. I received videos of this cruelty as threats. I appeal to the police to help me get justice,” said Waris.

SSP Larkana Ahmed Faisal Chaudhry took serious notice of the case and ordered the immediate arrest of the suspect. He assigned Sub-Inspector Akhtar Ali, in charge of the complaint center, to investigate and gather facts.
According to the police report, the victimized child is the son of Mohammad Waris Meerani, a resident of Karachi, whose wife is currently staying with her family in Larkana due to marital discord.
The uncle (mother’s brother) reportedly committed the act to pressurize Waris into divorcing his sister. Police have dispatched teams for the suspect’s arrest and are continuing their investigation to uncover further details.
