UK universities to increase tuition fee from next year

Pakistani students who intend to study in the UK may have a difficult time because English universities have raised tuition costs.

Reports state that the fee increase, which is being driven by growing inflation and the financial strains that educational institutions are facing, will go into effect in April 2025. Along with students from other nations, many Pakistani students come to the UK to attend its esteemed colleges and then look into job prospects.

The number of Pakistani students applying for study visas has sharply increased, according to data from the UK Home Office and other sources. More than 21,000 Pakistani students received study visas to England for the 2022–2023 academic year.

Students must pay for living expenses and housing in addition to tuition, and the anticipated fee rise is anticipated to put additional financial strain on them.

Beginning in April 2025, UK universities will implement a new tuition fee structure.

According to confirmation from UK universities, tuition prices will increase by £285 starting in April 2025, reaching £9,535. According to media reports, beginning 2017, tuition fees have been limited to £9,250.

Students at the University of Leeds, meantime, have voiced their worries, claiming that those from lower-income families will be disproportionately impacted by the fee increase.
